LT-FU112 Centrifugal Pump

Device Image
Description Technical Details

The centrifugal pump is widely used in various industrial applications. It operates on the principle of centrifugal force and utilizes a self-priming centrifugal pump, a flow rate controllable valve, and two pressure gauges to effectively transfer fluids.

The unit's self-priming centrifugal pump is capable of controlling the flow rate and head of the fluid with ease, making it ideal for applications that require precise control of fluid transfer. Additionally, the flow rate controllable valve allows for greater control over the rate of flow, ensuring that the fluid is transferred at the desired rate. To adjust the speed of the pump, a potentiometer is located on the trainer panel, enabling the user to vary the frequency of the electric motor. This results in the production of the desired head and flow rate. The digital displays on the panel also make it easy to monitor both the speed of the motor and the power of the pump, providing users with real-time information on the pump's performance.

Learning Objectives:

Experimenting the behavior of the pump as a function of head and flow rate, pump performance, and centrifugal pump characteristic curves. The trainer permit student to change in total head produced by the pump and power input and recording it efficiency.

  1. Demonstrating the behavior of centrifugal pump.
  2. Demonstrating the characteristic curves of centrifugal pump at desired head.
  3. Studying characteristic curves of centrifugal pump at different speeds
  4. Recording Centrifugal pump power.
  5. Calculating the hydraulic power and efficiency.
