LT-HT112 Finned Tube Heat Exchanger

Device Image
Description Technical Details

The Labtronic Finned Tube Heat Exchanger (LT-HT112) is designed to demonstrate and study the principles of heat transfer between air and a fluid (hot water) flowing through a finned tube profile. The unit features a channel through which air passes, coming into contact with a finned tube containing hot water. The fins significantly increase the surface area, thereby enhancing the heat transfer efficiency.

The air flow rate and temperature can be precisely measured within the channel. The unit is equipped with an axial fan that serves as the air source. When connected to the Heat Exchanger Supply Unit (LT-HT107), hot water flows through the finned tube profile, and its flow rate can be regulated via the supply unit's flow control valves. The system is designed with quick-release fittings to ensure that the setup and operation of experiments are user-friendly and efficient.

Temperature sensors and flow sensors are provided to measure the inlet and outlet temperatures and the flow rate of the hot water, enabling accurate data collection for analysis.
